Counseling Announcements Last Day to Order TranscriptsThe deadline for seniors to order a transcript to go out before the Christmas break is Wednesday, December 16. If you do not get your transcript ordered by that date, it will not go out until January. Please plan ahead.
2nd Semester Schedule ChangesStudents may begin requesting schedule changes on Thursday, December 3rd through Monday, December 14. Students must complete a schedule change request form, get the appropriate signatures and return the form to their counselor. Forms are available in Student Services. There will be limited opportunities to change schedules when school resumes in January.
Talk to a USAFA CadetOn December 1, from 8-9 p.m., USAFA cadet Daniel Uribe (LPHS graduate) will be at LP to talk to students about life as an Academy cadet, as part of the Grassroots Program. Learn about the Air Force Academy from a cadet point of view! To participate students must sign up on Naviance, print their confimation and have their teacher sign it.
Postsecondary Information for JuniorsThis year Mrs. Ritchey's goal is to meet with each junior to discuss postsecondary plans. Topics covered can include class rank and GPA, college admission requirements, factors in choosing a college, specific colleges and universities, Naviance, financial aid, and tentative college majors. Parents are encouraged to attend this meeting as well. Please contact her at 867-8007 or pritchey@lewispalmer.org to set up a meeting. High School Night with the DU PioneersAt 5:30 on Thursday, November 19, learn more about the University of Denver. Meet with admissions staff and learn about college life, financial aid and the college admission process. At 7 p.m. attend a DU men's basketball game at the Ritchie Center, and see the excitement fo Division 1 basketball firsthand! Tickets to the game are $9 each. Both students and parents are welcome-juniors and seniors are especially encouraged to attend.

University of Northern Colorado Application DayOn Wednesday, November 18, Kevin Berg, senior admissions counselor at UNC, will be at LP from 9-11 a.m. reviewing completed applications for admission. Students will receive an admissions decision at that time instead of having to wait 4-6 weeks. Seniors applying to UNC must sign up for an appointment with Mrs, Brynne Thompson in Student Services. The application fee is waived for students who participate. Appointment slots are limited, so students should sign up quickly. Each student needs to bring:
A completed UNC application (either the paper copy or a receipt showing the online app has been completed) Official HS transcript (Get this ahead of time.
